My name is Jennifer E. Timmerman. I am an American Sign Language Interpreter located in the St. Louis Metro area. I hold an Advanced BEI certification, issued by the state of Missouri and am licensed in both Missouri and Illinois. I worked in the St. Louis metro area between 2013 and 2018 and then moved to South Florida where I continued to work from 2018 to 2022. I will be back in the St. Louis metro area in August of 2022 and am excited to reconnect with the Deaf Community here.

 

My love for languages is insatiable, and while living in South Florida I began learning to speak conversational Spanish and Tagalog (Filipino). Upon completing my graduate degree in May of 2022 I will begin formal studies in Spanish. I hope to soon offer trilingual interpreting services.

My love of learning is matched only by my love of teaching people what I know. In addition to being an American Sign Language Interpreter, I am a high school ASL teacher, an ASL tutor, and an elementary-high school tutor. As I will be leaving my high school position in June of 2022 for our move back to the St. Louis, MO area, I am actively searching for a position as an interpreter educator to begin in the fall of 2022.
